my phone firmware is : lollipop 5.1.1Īnd my phone have an updated version of gear manager (version 2142)Įrror while i'm trying to connect " check if your phone is compatible and if the samsung gear app need to be updated, then try again"
Their was a small update to Gear Manager a couple days ago too. Remote connection and call forwarding confirmed working on Sprint Note 5 paired with AT&T Gear S. Well I've been using remote connection for the past week and it works flawlessly on the S6 Edge+ No working for me, I reset the Gear S, Reset my Note 5, nothing work Gear App don't connect by Bluetooth, said not find Gear, I uninstall Gear App, reinstalled not work Try it yourself, probably there has been some change in the server Samsung with admission at the service of the Galaxy S6 Edge +Ĭan people confirm that it is working now? Perfect! "Magically" now it works perfectly diverting calls and notifications remotely. I tried several times to do what you advice, but the remote connection is not activated from my Gear S and my S6 Edge + I'm sorry but no, your method does not work! Then go to auto call forward and turn it on again. Then turn off remote connect (without turning off auto-call forward).
Then walk back to your phone until Bluetooth reconnects. It will appear that remote connection is not working. Then walk away until the Bluetooth disconnects. Then go to "auto call forwarding" and turn that on. Then in the Gear S app, select "remote connect" so that it turns the option on. Make sure the watch is on, and connected via Bluetooth. I was having this issue at first but I got it to work, and now it's fine everytime. Moved from the note 4 to S6 Edge+ and once disconnected from blue tooth it fails to connect remotely. ( * Please forgive Google Translate for the bad translation) īefore when I walk away from the range of the bluetooth with the Galaxy S6 Edge could perfectly to have call forwarding and notifications, now with Galaxy S6 Edge+ I get the message that you can not make the call diversion etc etc. Galaxy S6 Edge+ and I do not work more calls and notifications remotely with Gear S I passed by Galaxy S6 Edge to Galaxy S6 Edge+ and I do not work more calls and notifications remotely with Gear S. Or even if anyone else has other versions of the note 5 that have connected with the gear s with no issue ? Perhaps, some others with other versions of the Note 5, could check and confirm if the Samsung gear app is now a system app ( or is this just the case for SM-N9200 ) I have had no Other issues So far everything Is working great.Īs per first post the only IssueI have found is with the remote Connection for my gear S.
I'm considering get the same model but before I committed I was wondering if you had any issues and where would you recommend buying this from? I would really like to get this working with the Note 5, soooo anyone out there have any ideas or fixes for this ?
My gear s also remote connected with my S6 with no issues. I then tested the gear S with a friends galaxy S5 and it remote connected first time.
I did a factory reset on the phone and gear s, made no difference. the only issue I now face is when I move out of Bluetooth range and wait for the remote connection to kick in, I get an error message " Failed to enable remote connection" and it tells me to connect via Bluetooth. Everything works fine, calls and notifications come through all normal. My Gear s connects up no problem - on first connect it updated with no issue. I noticed that the Gear manager App is now pre installed as a system App and can not be removed. I am in Ireland and bought the Note 5 N9200 it is Dual sim. New here, and looking for some help from you all please. Note 5 N9200 and samsung Gear s SM-R750 - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting Hi,
